Intuit

7 Years Full Time

For the past 7 years I worked at Intuit as a principal product designer. My day-to-day work consisted of working on: user flows, prototyping, wireframes to high-fidelity design, user testing, concept videos and more. I was deployed on a variety of projects and teams over the past few years and you can see a few examples of this work below.

User Flow Examples

User flow diagrams were an essential step in our working process. They helped us think of the problem from the perspective of multiple users, as well as ensure we cover any edge cases along the way, before going into wire framing, mid-fidelity, or high-fidelity designs leveraging our Intuit Design System.

I also worked on projects that required deeper analysis to investigate a problem and offer a solution, by way of a framework or strategy. Please see below for a recent example of one of these projects: a deep dive into our Product Service Agent, highlighting gaps and opportunities, as well as design led suggestions.

Conversation Hub

A large part of my time at intuit was spent working with the Conversations team, on a capability known as ‘Conversation Hub’.
The ‘Conversation Hub’ was intended to be the main communication tool for experts to interact with customers, through a variety of video, phone, or text based meetings as well as screen share.
The video shown here is a prototype I made to share our roadmap with key stakeholders and I was responsible for everything from user research, wireframes, visual design, prototyping, to video production.

IEP 3 Year Target State (proof of concept)

When I first joined Intuit, full-time, I was tasked with coming up with a 3 year vision for IEP (Intuit Expert Portal), the tool that tax experts and bookkeepers use to serve their TurboTax and QuickBooks customers.
This was no easy feat for a new hire as I needed to quickly understand the breadth of the platform, then formulate a strategy of where I saw the platform was heading.
Although this work is now a few years old, it’s interesting to see I was thinking about A.I. Assistants and how it might be used to streamline workflows, before the recent AI boom.
